My name is Anastasija Jana Roze. You can also call me Anastasija, Tasie or simply Jana. I originally come from Latvia, a small country in Northern Europe, but I have been calling England my home since 2014. This is also when I got my first DSLR camera, although I’ve always been a bit of a photographer (I was that kid who was taking pictures of all my friends). Since then, I’ve experimented with many genres – landscapes, macro, food and portraits. Pretty soon I realised that I am most fascinated with photographing anything to do with humans and emotions.
I see unique beauty in every single person I work with. Showcasing that gives me enjoyment like no other. Photography is a massive part of my life both at home and at work. Even when I'm not photographing commercial projects, I shoot personal work and always carry my camera around when travelling. I often draw inspiration from nature and am a huge lover of mountains and beaches. I love shooting outdoors and incorporating flowers into my work – the more of them the better!
A few facts about me:
•I consider myself a sustainable living enthusiast, trying to get as close as I can to the unattainable zero waste ideal.
•I spend a lot of time cuddling with my hubby Aleks and our furry kitties Jackie and Minnie.
•When I’m not working, you’ll find me watching old films, reading novels, writing my own short stories and poetry.
•I’m excited about everything antique, vintage and buying things second hand, whether it’s clothes or home decor.
•I drink tons of mint and camomile tea.
